Born in Santiago de Chile, in 1974.

The life of this artist passes between the countryside and the city, since his childhood.

As a child, he spent much of his time inventing his toys, creating complex machines with wood, iron and stone. At school she models plasticine and obtains distinctions.

In his adolescence he went from inventing machines and other "objects" to working with wood, giving sculptural forms to this material.

At the end of school he began his first works in clay. At this time he also studied photography.

Then he spends a few years working in the fields, but continues with his artistic work. At this time, his self-taught development led him to participate in some exhibitions.

In these first creations, you can already see visual elements of theagro together with concepts related tocity. This urban/rural duality will be a constant that will be reflected in his later works, sculptures that he will henceforth sign with the nickname ROCA, his maternal surname.

Later he decided to enter the General Diploma in Art, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and continued with parallel studies in drawing and sculpture. Upon graduation, he made the commemorative monument of the alliance between Napa Valley and Casablanca, the tenth world capital of wine and his place of origin.

After this academic period, Roca carried out various trips in search of artistic meaning. Upon returning to Chile, he participated in exhibitions in Santiago and Casablanca. The following years he devoted himself to martial arts and decided to bring the philosophy of Aikido into his life, a discipline that he continues to practice.

In 2010, Roca achieved a reunion with clay and began the most prolific period of his work. Currently he continues to develop his sculptural work in different materials and styles.
